CFEL Molecular Physics – Controlled Molecule Imaging
The Controlled Molecule Imaging group (CMI) develops methods to control complex
molecules in the gas phase. Currently, we are extending our research toward very large molecules and particles based on funding through a European Research Council (ERC)
Consolidator Grant “COMOTION”: Controlling the motion of very large molecules and particles.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong background in the physical sciences, for instance, in theoretical or experimental atomic or molecular physics, physical chemistry, quantum optics, or laser physics. A strong foundation in quantum mechanics is necessary, experience with lasers, vacuum equipment, and programming skills are an advantage. Curiosity and motivation for groundbreaking science is assumed.
